Mammals have few babies, which are likely to live. Simpler animals like insects and fish have many offspring, a high percentage of which die. In what way would this be beneficial for insects and fish? A. Carrying live young and giving parental care takes a huge investment of time and energy B. There are so many insects and fish that they need to have more die or the world would be overrun with them C. Most of these species eat their young, so they are still benefiting from the deaths. D. None of the above are true. It is not a good adaptation.

    I believe the answer is C I don't know why but it seems right I am a professor in college and you should know this if your in high school its in the high school curriculum to know all of the facts. so yeah listen to me its C
