    Antibiotics can

    1) stop bacteria from growing and dividing by interfering with nutrient uptake (bacteriostatic)

    2) kill bacteria by disrupting cell wall (bacteriolytic)

There are two things or ways that the antibiotic attacks bacteria in the cell. One procedure or way is that the antibiotic interferes with bacteria's ability to repairs its damaged DNA by stopping the bacteria's ability to make it what it needs to grow new cell and the Second one is by weakening the bacteria's cell until it dies
