    How do theorists view the relationship between industrialization and the elderly in the United States? The soial value of the ederly decreased with industrialization. As industrialization happened over time, the value that most had within the ederly started to go down because times were changing so their knowledge of how things 'use to be' was decreasing. Industrialization brought in many changes and allowed for more growth to happen during the new era.
