    CH₃-CH (CH₃) - CH₂-S-S-CH₂-CH (CH₃) - CH₃ + 2H⁺ + 2e⁻.

    The oxidation of thiols yield to a disulfide. T hiol is an organosulfur compound that has a carbon-bonded sulfhydryl (R-SH) group. The linkage S-S-bond is called a disulfide bridge.
