B. based on your research and observations, why do you think pure (distilled) water does not conduct electricity but tap water usually does?

    Distilled water does not contain and minerals, but tap water does contain minerals. The minerals are the ones who conduct the electricity. That is way tap water can conduct electricity and distilled water cannot.
