V/v percentage is the percentage of volume of methyl alcohol from the whole solution.

    v/v % percentage of methyl alcohol is 18.5 %

in 100 mL of solution - 18.5 mL is methyl alcohol

    therefore in 2 400 mL - 18.5 / 100 x 2400 = 444 mL of methyl alcohol

in 2.40 L of solution - there are 444 mL of methyl alcohol
