    There are two ways that we can correctly measure the mass of the liquid. One method would be weighing first the mass of the beaker before putting the liquid and record this value. Then, add the liquid and weigh the whole system. The mass that you would get would be the mass of the beaker plus the liquid. To determine the mass of the liquid, you subtract the total mass to the mass of the beaker that you previously measured. Another method would be to tare the balance after putting the beaker on the scale. After taring, add the liquid and measure the weight. The mass you will get would be the mass of the liquid directly.
