The formula for sucrose is C12H22O11 with a molecular mass of approx 342g/mol

    % mass of C = 12 (12) / 342 * 100% = 42.1%

    % mass of H = 22 (1) / 342 * 100% = 6.43%

    % mass of O = 11 (16) / 342 * 100% = 51.5%
