    Balanced chemical reaction:

    2NaCl (aq) + Hg₂ (C₂H₃O₂) ₂ (aq) → Hg₂Cl₂ (s) + 2NaC₂H₃O₂ (aq).

    NaCl - sodium chloride.

    Hg₂ (C₂H₃O₂) ₂ - mercury (I) acetate.

    NaC₂H₃O₂ - sodium acetate.

Hg₂Cl₂ - mercury (I) chloride or mercurous chloride, low solubility in water.

Oxidation number of sodium is + 1 and for mercury is also + 1.
