How to tell if a solution is unsaturated saturated or supersaturated?

If a solution is unsaturated then that means there is a small amount of solute but it can hold more. for saturated the solution has the right amount/as much solute as it can hold. supersaturated is when the solution has more solute than it can hold / can normally be dissolved.
