    The mass of sodium hydroxide is 5 g, therefore, its mass percentage in the solution would be:

    mass percentage = (mass of sodium hydroxide/total solution mass) x 100 = (5 g/105 g) x 100 = 4.76%

    Therefore, the mass percentage of 5 g of sodium hydroxide that dissolves in 100 g of water is 4.76%
