    (m/v) % = [mass of solute (g) / volume of solution (mL) ] x 100

    a) [2.50/50.0] x100 = 5.00%

    b) [7.5/120] x100=6.3%

    mass/volume percent (m/v) = mass of solute*100/volume of solution

mass of solute that is NaCl is 13 g

Volume of solution is 49.5 mL

    Mass/Volume percent=13*100/49.5

    =26.26
