Using the ideal gas law, determine the amount of gas, in moles, of a 8.32 L sample of hydrogen gas, under a temperature of 310 K and a pressure of 1.7 atm.

    PV = nRT

    P = 1.7 atm

    T = 310K

    V = 8.32L

    R = 0.08205 L atm / K. mol

    PV = nRT

    n = PV / RT

    n = (1.7 * 8.32) / (0.08205 * 310)

    n = 14.144 / 25.4355

    n = 0.556

    n = 0.56 moles
