The pressure inside the fluid of a hydraulic system is increased by 875 Pa. What is the increase in the force exerted on a piston that has an area of 0.060 m2?

    Pressure = force / area

    Multiply each side of that formula by 'area':

    Force = (pressure) x (area)

    Change in force = (875 Pa) x (0.06 m²) = 52.5 newtons
