Which of the following types of coal requires the most intense pressure in order to form?

    Coal is ranked into four types depending on its carbon content. They are lignite, sub-bituminous, bituminous and anthracite. It is anthracite which has the highest carbon content thus the type of coal that needs more pressure to form. Also, it has the highest carbon content.
