Cobalt & Oxygen ... A covalent compound or an Ionic compound? ... ?

    Covalent or molecular compounds form when elements share electrons in a covalent bond to form molecules. Molecular compounds are electrically neutral. Ionic compounds are formed when the elements bonded are in ionic form. I believe cobalt and oxygen would form an ionic compound.
