A 55g piece of copper wire is heated and the temperature of the wire changes 19 to 86 the amount of heat absorbed is 343 cal what is the specific heat of copper

    Specific Heat = heat / mass x ΔT

    heat = 343 cal

    mass = 55 grams

    ΔT = 86 - 19 = 67 C.

    Specific heat = 343 cal / (55 g x 67 C) = 0.0931 cal / g C
