    Light is formed by electron leaps in the orbitals of atoms. As you know, electrons have the strange quality of moving in certain orbitals without consuming energy, but when they fall to a lower orbital of lower energy (closer to the nucleus) they emit energy in the form of radiation. Some of these jumps produce visible radiation that we call light, radiation that our eyes see in their manifestation of color.

    Summarizing it can be said that at 600 nm the human eye can observe a yellow light but the visible spectrum for the human goes from 350 nm to 750 nm in which we can observe lights of different colors. Therefore the statement is false, since the generation of light to electricity requires a light absorption of the visible spectrum mentioned above (350 nm to 750 nm)
