    One of the greatest American president Mr Roosevelt was quite vocal about the need to protect the Grand Canyon. On 6th May, 1903, he summed up his views in a speech at the heritage site of Grand Canyon. In the speech, he professes for his love for the sight of the mighty Canyon and its thrilling landscape.

    He calls for a renewed effort to protect the heritage of the Canyon. In his speech, he also mentions Santa Fe people of their decision to not build a railroad in the immediate surrounding of the Canyon. He was throughout of his life mesmerised by the awe-striking beauty of the heritage site and reminded his fellow countrymen's of protecting it for their generations to come.
