How does this section of dialogue further develop the

conflict?

It explains a new conflict between Arianna and

other students.

It explains why Arianna needs the principal to

believe her.

It gives examples of other times when the principal

did not believe Arianna.

It gives examples of times when Arianna proved to

be trustworthy.

    Arianna is obviously in an argument with other students and she apparently needs the principal to be "on her side" for this one. the let down is that Arianna has been in this situation before when the principal did no believe he, however there is evidence that states she has proven to be trustworthy in the past. The climax would be if the principal will believe her or not.
