The format of reports should be consistent for the company to enable comparison after a certain period of time thus a report template is utilized in companies in most cases. Proposals and reports at a workplace are passed to employees through emails, memos and letters. Emails can be direct to an individual or a group of people. They are fast and keep a copy of the message. Memos are for short internal communication where as the letters are mostly used to communicate with external partners to the business in a formal manner.
