Japan's geography has affected its history and economy in many ways. Japan is very isolated geographically, as it is an island country and a country with many different islands. Due to this, for many years Japan did not encounter any foreigners and when encountered with them were either very nationalistic or aggressive, as many Japanese were suspicious of foreigners. However, they were able to proliferate very well economically and to generate financial growth within the country.
