The new russian capital was built on the shores of which body of water?

    The correct answer is the Baltic Sea.

    This capital was Saint Petersburg and it was built by Peter the Great after he managed to figure out how well it was strategically positioned in relations to Russian problems which at the time were countries like Sweden. Nowadays, the capital is Moscow but Petersburg still remains an important center and one of the biggest cities in Russia.
