The United States did not wish to be involved in World War 1. This was until German U-boats were attacking American ships. The U. S. asked them to stop, but they continued doing it. Ultimately, they ended up killing many Americans when they sank an American ship. This, along with other factors, led to the involvement of the U. S. in World War 1.
