How did the scientific method and john locke inspire the glorious revolution?

The Glorious Revolution was a period of time in which intellectuals, such as John Locke, applied the ideas from the scientific method to human nature and human rights as well as government ruling. Many of these methods and ideas were used when coming up with the basis of the Enlightenment.
