    Because there is a great irrigation in the river, the main crops that were grown were Indigo, tobacco, wheat, and rice.) The southern colonies had the warmest climate and rich land with plenty of fishes.

The southern colonies (North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia) had the warmest climate, rich farmland, forests and plenty of fish.
