Critics often argues that affirmative action is taken by a majority of the group and hence what is being decided by a majority is considered as an affirmative action. In this whole process, the action is based on the decision made by majority and hence the interest of the minority is ignored. The action is not necessarily meant to fulfill the interest of minority groups.
