According to Steve he hates jail since its threatening and also violent. In jail seems they were talking about how hard it is to get money and the best means and targets for theft. This is depicted by a flashback when the king, Steve, peaches and johnny sitting on a stoop and talking about financial problems in their areas. They tried thinking of tactics and ways to steal money from liquor stores and restaurants that might have money.
