Compare and contrast the situation for african americans in the north with that of african americans in the south in the period from roughly 1911-1930.

Although the north was against slavery African Americans were treated poorly still by white people and they had alot of discrimination. African Americans in the south would work on their old owners land but they would get paid for it and had somewhere to live.
