What did German scientists and physicians do to further the idea of "a perfect race?"?

They called for elimination of the unfit race, and sterilization. They even attempted to alter genetic makeups through mutations especially by using mustard gas. this scientific endeavor also known as Nazi eugenic championed the Nordic race as superior.
