Why did US and coalition troops try to stop Iraq's invasion of Kuwait?

The United Nations would fail without Kuwait's support.

The world depended on Kuwait for oil.

Stopping Iraq would remove Hussein from power.

Stopping Iraq would ensure peace in the Middle East.

    US and coalition troops tried stopping Iraq's invasion of Kuwait because stopping Iraq would ensure peace in the Middle east which was what they wanted. Although it was a cover for the fact that they just wanted oil. so in other words B
