In which region of north america did the ancient ancestors of the nootkans and the tlingits reside and subsist on bountiful provisions of fish and sea mammals with no need to resort to arduous agricultural labor?

    These tribes subsisted on fish and sea mammals along Alaskan coast. There are some residing there today, but many have intermarried. Some are quite poor due to fisheries and large companies taking over the sustenance they need so badly. Alaska did pass an anti-discrimination law eventually, but those who chose to continue living their way are not very economically well off.
