uring the Medieval Period, many scholars believe that the earth is flat and it is located in the center of the universe. Many scholars believed in the geocentric theory that was introduced by Copernicus and was later seconded by Ptolemy. Many people believed in this theory until it was proven wrong by Galileo Galilee. Galileo had proposed the heliocentric theory wherein states that the sun is the center of the universe and the planets revolve around the sun.
