River Nile played a very important role in the civilization of Egypt and Nubia.

The Egyptians and the Nubian people depended on River Nile for their agricultural activities, the water from the river is used to irrigate their farms. Apart from this, the people also depended on the river for transportation and building materials. The people used mud from the River Nile bank to make bricks for building their houses. Transportation makes it possible for the people to engage in trading with other people from other countries.
