The answer is, Canada opened its Pacific Railway. This did not happen last 1867. The first rails were said to be built in between Eastern Canada and British Columbia from 1881 to 1885.

All the other choices happened during 1867. Canada became a self-governing territory after a confederation of some lands of the British colonies. Canada elected its first Prime Minister Sir John A. Macdonald last July 1, 1867. The First Canadian Parliament session happened on November 6, 1867, until July 8, 1872.
