How did gutenberg's press revolutionize the way books were made?

Gutenberg's printing press allowed for multiple copies of books to be printed in a quick and organized fassion. Before the printing press, the "stamps" had to be hand dipped in ink, and page by page the book had to be manualy printed by a two book binders. With the printing press you could now place a large sheet of paper, and print the entire book on it, then later, cut the sheets, bind it, and sell it. Gutenberg's printing press marked the beginning of the modern book. It allowed for thousands of copies of the same book to be made and distributed quickly and neatly. It is considered by many historians to be one of the most important inventions of that century.
