    A. Philip Randolph was an African-American Civil Rights leader that informed President Franklin D. Roosevelt that there was going to be a large march on Washington if he doesn’t meet their demands for elimination of employment discrimination. The march was called off when Roosevelt’s administration met their demands by issuing Executive Order 8802.
