Why would Christianity appeal to the early Anglo-Saxons?

    Christianity was first spread by a monk. Anglo Saxons were said to have almost mad men running the place quite uncivilized people. Christianity gave them morality they realized the trouble they making and also knew nothing was being done. that religion gave them hope and it made sense of the world and gave them a peace.
