What has happened in picher, oklahoma, to make it the largest superfund site in the united states?

    Materials for the mining was going during the World War II in Pitcher, Oklahoma and the resources we have at that time are Zinc and Lead, which when mined produces chemicals that are dangerous. Mining produced very harmful chemicals by chat piles, put in asphalt roads and in between with fillers.
