    Many newly-formed countries did not have industrialization, or if they did, very little with substandard technology. A lack of national identity also proliferated because of the newness of the country. Lack of educational funding was also a problem, mainly because much of the money was being spent on simply surviving. In this vein, this led to higher levels of economic inequality, as well, since very few people had the means to simply exist in these new countries.
