    Opponents of the equal rights amendment argued that eliminating gender differences in the law would cause women to: Take control of the federal government

    This argument, of course, seems to have a lot of loopholes and only driven by constant paranoia. Eliminating gender differences in the law could only distinguish the discrimination and make both Men and women treated fairly in front of the law.
