What are some significant governmental changes that a country might experience when moving from communism to democracy

Some significant changes are raising their standards. In a communist government the Government or one leader controls everything which means that they can do whatever they want with no restrictions or requirements. In a democracy everyone works together and the power is balanced. There ARE standards and requirements and restrictions.
