    Senator McCarthy get so powerful during his investigations by campaigning against communism

    Explanation:

    Joseph McCarthy was a senator in America. In 1950's he accused of spies in United states who worked for Soviet. He shocked the country that he had proof of Un-American activists among the communists. This gave fear to all the Americans that there were many traitors among the communist.

    This gave the anti-communist Mc Carthy arise and he was selected as the first senator who won election. He tried to expose the spies in the armed forces. He ran politics only through opportunism. In suspect when McCarthy interrogated real time war heroes it became as black mark to him.
