The correct answer is: Japan immediately surrendered and World War II ended.

    Explanation:

The United States detonated two nuclear uranium bombs over the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6 and 9 1945.

Faced with the Soviet invasion of Manchuria and the expected Soviet and American exodus on their islands, Japan decided to declare the unconditional capitulation, in order to prevent a potential third explosion. So World War II ended.

It is estimated that at least 78,000 people have died by the explosion and the shockwave.
