To calm the settlers fear from American Indians the U. S government held a conference with local Indian tribes and established the Treaty of Fort Laramie.

    Explanation:

Based on this treaty each Native American tribe accepted a bounded territory and allowed government to construct roads and forts and pledged not to attack settlers.

The belief of manifest destiny and the lire of gold and silver made bad policies towards the native Americans. People wanted to expand to the west because of their religious beliefs.

The Native American tribe leader would settle all disputes. This system results in the idea of using a judge in America.
