Why was the area called the dust bowl

    In the 1930s, the area from Oklahoma to Texas was called the Dust Bowl because the area had completely dried out as there was drought, next there was crazy dust storms called Black Blizzards that carried soil around as farmers had replaced grass with wheat, unknown that the grass kept soil in place.

    Basically, years long drought and real bad dust storms
