    The three major complaints were the king had ignored the colonist's sovereignty and in making his own laws, had left the colonies worse off. Next, the king had manipulated the Parliament and other political arenas to make sure he could do whatever he wanted, and finally, the king had sent a standing army to the colonies without the colony's permission.
