Columbus believed he was in Asia when he landed in the New World. Should he have realized that he was not in Asia, or did what he encounter only reinforce the belief that he was there?

    Christopher Columbus landed on the islands south of America without knowing that he went the wrong way he assumed that the Natives were Indians, Yes he did believe that he was in India/Asia when he arrived at the New World.
