When humans reach the moment when they have a complex society that is the by-product of the different relationships, work, and family structure, we can say they have formed a civilization. This civilization is comprised of identifiable characteristics such as public work, job specialization, a form of government, a language and writing system that allows people to communicate with each other, and a belief system we can call religion.
