    The Magna Carta lead to no free man being imprisoned without a trial by peers. Magna Carta is a charter of rights agreed to by King John of England at Runnymede, in 15 June 1215. Among them was the right of the church to be free from governmental interference, the rights of all free citizens to own and inherit property and to be protected from excessive taxes. this is also preceded by the universal declaration of human rights, 1948, which state that all are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law.
